The task ahead for Rwanda is to be able to feed its own people without relying on foreign support and for the last decades, these foreign supports have only benefited the Rwandan elites who use all support given to the people of Rwanda for their own benefits and private needs. Therefore, for Rwandan people to overcome the poverty there should be ideological and political lines to address both economic and social dimension on poverty.

The human rights are prerequisites for any country to overcome poverty. Citizens are able to express how they feel about their government and be able to put pressure on government to implement programs that work in the benefit of the people. In Rwanda, the government has restricted Human rights and the country is military and police run.
